!Get the Perks of MOOCs, Translators

 Translators get all the perks; working in different institutions or from home, rarely boring tasks of different natures and topics, and even different ways of viewing the world.
However, translators need to build up some understanding of different subject-matters, and MOOC (Massive Open Online Courses) help you to get a considerable knowledge of different fields.
Coursera and Edx are two of the most popular sites of MOOCs. You can find introductory courses of variety fields and specialized topics. How can these courses help a translator?
  • A translator would acquire an adequate understanding of the tasks s/he works on.
  • A translator have a chance to make a glossary of terminology for a specialized field with a group of translators.
  • A translator can share materials and resources with other participants, they may be translators too.
  • A translator can have a certificate that supports his/her CV.
And imagine what can different participants of different tongs, fields and backgrounds would add to you, and what they would build together!

Useful Tips For Taking Writing Exam

      Writing  assignments are easy and fun when you know how to do them well.  Moreover, writing for exams is not different from writing  assignments through out the semester. Here are some tips to helps you nail the writing exams

1-Understand the Topic Well:  never start writing without reading the instructions. Understanding the certain information required in your essay helps you got the scores of comprehension.  This is part of The RCOW process (pronounced are-cow) of writing exams . it is an acronym of Read – Comprehend – Outline – write. After comprehension, brain-Strom and think of main ideas. Make an outline of the essay.

2-Recognize the Text Type: Follow the structure and instructions of each text type (description, report, letter , argument, opinion text). you have been through each text type over each unit. Study the main requirements of each text type including the appropriate tense. Notice the mistakes you have made previously to avoid them in the exam.

3-Follow the Pyramid Diagram: Start your essay with an introduction. Begin with a broad general statement about the topic. Then, use the most powerful idea at the first paragraph. Each paragraph should start with a general theses statement. Hence, you make the idea clear and then get into details for the rest of the paragraph. Finally, your text needs a conclusion. Hurrah! My Daughter is 1-Year-Old

It has been already a year, it is just like yesterday when I held that pinky, soft baby.

Since then she has been through a lot of changes , I daily think: “Oh! She is getting older! I’m still not fed up with her tiny fingers, goofy smiles, cute curiosity , and random noises”.

There have been many dirty tricks that saved me, applications that helped and traditions that worked. I’ll try to share what helped me through the year and what concerns me about raising her up currently.

The sleepless nights, never-ending laundry and messed-up living room really worth having My Princess Leen.

She still doesn’t know how much she nourishes my life and fills my days with smiles. I wrote this so she can read it as she grows up.

I can’t wait to see you getting older my princess!
